Ownership
Connecting your sermons to Rewind doesn't transfer anything. You grant a license so the service can do its work — transcribe, structure, and serve your content back to your people — and that's all it is.
The content license is between your church and Rewind: you keep ownership of your preaching, and the grant exists so we can run the service for you. It's published, in full, on this site.
Members can export their own data at any time, deleting an account is a hard delete, and if your church ever moves on, your transcripts and content go with you.

Isolation
Every church on Rewind is private by default, and every church's data is isolated from every other's — enforced in the database itself, not by a setting someone could forget.
Each church's sermons, members, and conversations live behind database row-level security. One church can never see another's — the database refuses, not just the app.
A new church starts dark: not listed anywhere, not discoverable. Opening your archive to visitors — or appearing in the church directory — is your explicit choice, and you can close the doors again any time.
Sermon drafts and rehearsals in Studio are never shown to members, never indexed for search, never folded into the shared archive.
What a member asks and reads is theirs. Admins see activity metadata and answers a member reports or marks unhelpful — not the content of private conversations.
Honest AI
Rewind's AI works from one source: your church's own sermon transcripts. It doesn't browse the internet for answers, and it doesn't speak for your pastor.
Answers come only from what was actually preached, with timestamped citations back to the moment in the sermon — so anyone can check the answer against the source. Always trust the sermon over the summary.
Everything AI-generated is labeled as generated by Rewind AI from the sermon transcripts — a study aid, never the church or pastor speaking.
We don't train AI models on your content, and we don't use it to train third-party foundation models. Our AI providers process content only to return a result to us.
Group prayer-list content is never sent to our AI providers. Some things aren't study material.

The basics
When someone deletes their account, their conversations, progress, and bookmarks are hard-deleted immediately — not soft-flagged.
Rewind runs no advertising and embeds no third-party tracking pixels. Rewind's own fonts are self-hosted.
